Howdy! I'm brand new to this service and I have a couple of questions for anyone who could possibly help me. How do you download a program from libraries with ONLINE!, and how do you de-ARC after you've downloaded?

Hi Tim, welcome to the Amiga Forums. I don't have OnLine! but you go into a LIBrary and select the file you want to download, type D at the Disposition! prompt, have a protocol selected in OnLine (for eg. XModem), tell your term pgm the name of the file you want to download and where you're downloading to – and initiate the transfer – CIS will tell you when it is completed. To deARC a file you need to download ARC.EXE from LIB 4 of AmigaTech and the documentation ARC.HLP from LIB 1 of AmigaTech. You rename ARC.EXE to ARC, put it in your c directory on Workbench, then to deARC CD to the disk and/or directory where the downloaded ARCed file resides and type ARC X filename. Let me know if this helps. Also there are help files in LIB 1 of all 3 Amiga Forums which are readable online or can be downloaded and read offline. There are 6 of them named HELP#.DOC (where # = 1 thru 6). Marlene
