John, I appologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry. Usman Rashid generally handles CADL questions but he has been out of the country and has not gotten back on to Compuserve yet. I am posting this reply for him. Groups are collections of entities that can be operated upon by name (selection, deletion, attrib change, etc.). There is a limit of 128 groups per part file. Each group can have 256 sub-groups (or sub-collections). Modify only colors 16-255 (240 colors in all) for pallete change. Colors 0 – 15 are used by the system. CADL can read the existing values from arrays @palr, @palb, and @palg. The arrays have 256 elements (indexed 0 – 255). For example, the RGB values for color #200 will be in @palr[200], @palb[200], and @palg[200]. To set the palette from a CADL program, use the pallette command (explained in the CADL manual).
