HELP!!! I am new to the forum and have some questions about laying animations to tape. Our company has been using 3DS for awhile now and just started using a single frame controller(SOFTVTR) and a SONY BVW-40. Now for the problem-when ever we out put to tape upon playing the animation back on our deck, everything looks fine. However, when playing back on any other BETACAM deck (SP included) there is a distinct horizontal jitter. We have put several animations to tape by hand and they jitter also so we surmise that SOFTVTR is not at fault. Also, the deck was checked out by one of the best video tech firms in Seattle, and it checked out right on the money. We are rendering out to a VISIONETICS VIGA+ 64 which is synced to the deck on house sync. Thanks in advance for any help! David J. Cleverdon DJC

David, I had heard that the Visonetics boards (which use the Trident chip designed on a license from Truevision) have problems with genlocking. Kevin Krell – Computer Support Associates
