I am new to Compuserve, and my local dealer stopped handling Amiga–leaving me
high and dry as far as support goes.
I'm having trouble downloading software and other stuff from the Amigaarts
Forum library. I have a Amiga 1000 (512K) with Online! communications
software. I had my modem (practical Peripherals PM1200SA) checked out, and
it's okay. I have one external drive.
Here are some very basic (and very dumb, no doubt) questions about downloading
stuff:
Is the receiving diskette in the internal drive or the external drive?
Should I use the Online! diskette (actually, a copy of the master ) to receive
the incoming data, or should I use a simple Workbench
disK?
I appreciate any help you can give. The support from Commodore has been nil, I
have no local Amiga support, and I'm about ready to shoot this machine.
