#scene blur and explode
5 messages in this thread
I've been trying to use Scene Motion Blur on an Explode IPAS object.
It doesn't seem to be working. I'm only test rendering the first couple of
frames and all I seem to get are teeny pieces of exploded fragments (like two
or three teeny pieces).. but when I turn OFF scene motion blur, it explodes
properly (with all the pieces, etc).. Can someone try this to see if I'm
mistaken?

What I've noticed in recent tests is that (in some cases only) AXP's can
confuse the scene motion blur subsystem. I'm trying to focus in on the problem
here (which is difficult, since it seems to happen randomly). If there _is_ a
problem in there, we'll fix it for the eventual 3.01 maintenance release.

Thanks Gary.

FWIW, I did some tests a while back with explode and motion blur
applied to the .axp cube – and to my surprise, it worked just fine,
although very slow. Thought I'd mention it.
Thanks for the feedback, Bill. At some point I'm going to have to
spend some time in there and try to figure out what's going on (if
anything).
