Commanche does use voxels, there is a good file called VOXEL.ZIP in the CYBERFORUM forum here on cserve that explains what voxels are all about. BTW what do you think of DOOM. It might not be true 3D, but it is fast and looks good!

Michael, >> BTW what do you think of DOOM. << It's got really nice graphics and moves along at a nice pace. One of the programmers at work bought it and I've had a chance to look over his shoulder. The good thing about working for a game company is that you can play games a lot and get away with it – research, don't you know <g>.

One of the _killer_ features of Doom is network mode. You can have the whole office going at it across the NET. It's quite predictable though, as the first one to find the Flame Thrower is the winner! <BG>

Hey Chuck… how ya doin'? How about giving Thomas Fehr at Matrox a call tommorrow and lighting a fire under his rear to get Pavel those libraries… they've been kind of slow responding to him.

John, Will do, as I have high hopes for Pavel's development work also! Chuck

Martin; I have the shareware DOOM and have played it on my net(real cool) but I can't get the sound to work on my Pentium/Studio 16 machine, needless to say the check is in the mail for the mail order version. Have you tryed Falcon 3 on a net ?, the whole concept of an Electronic Battle field with Falcon and Migs and Hornets is to cool, one day I bet they will come out with ground units and tanks you can control. Too bad all this gaming is eating into my training time in 3ds, but I'm in an Acad program until next Feburary and on no real time table.

Richard, I don't have a lot of time for games. I mainly just look at the graphics. I haven't seen anything played on a network but it sounds fun. My favourite games at the moment are the new Sega Virtua arcade games: Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighting. Very nice polygon filled games, good motion and speed. The racing is awesome when you race with 7 other people simultaneously. I played it quite a bit at Las Vegas.
