I need some help with the configuration of an Octagon 2008 SCSI II
board, I don't have a drive fitted to the board but I am using it to
drive a CD-ROM. The trouble is when I reboot the main HD goes active
then shuts down, followed by a short period of activity from the
CD-ROM then everything dies for about 12 – 15 seconds. After this
time the main HD goes active and the startup-sequence is completed.
Everything works O.K.
Of course the last thing I need is a startup that lasts nearly a
minute and a half, I have an idea that the controller is searching
for other devices, I tried putting a termination on the CD-ROM
expansion bus but it seems to have little or no effect.
I tried all the jumpers that were relevant but still no luck. HELP!!!
