Anyone,
Sometimes I am using a very large file and start to render. 3ds access
the disk drive and completes the render in about 2 min . Then about 3 or 4
renders later it bogs down to about 15 min to render ? how come. I normally
just reboot and I am fine. Also once and a while I will find 8-10 meg file with
just letters.

press "?" for Info Status after one of the long renderings and note the number
of times your system paged to disc and the size of the swap file. See pgs.
112-118 in the Installation Manual.
