The august issue of COMPUTE contained an editorial by Robert Lock that is the worst example of computer journalism in recent memory. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE should take the few minutes necessary to register their extreme dissatisfaction with this editorial. Several so called facts were ludicrous, especially the one about the atari st outselling the amiga 10 to 1. In the editorial, Lock gives advice to commodore, and criticizes it no end, while praising the atari. This advice is malicious in intent. He uses loaded words such as "legarthy", "stricken", "shocking turnabout", and "demise" to describe the amiga. Please, please write him and tell him how you feel about this demagogic rhetoric. You might also want to send a copy of your letter to James Casella, his boss. As for me, I plan on giving COMPUTE one more month to straighten up its act. If they dont, I will cancel my susbscription. AGAIN, I SAY WRITE TO COMPUTE TO COMPLAIN. IF ENOUGH OF US DO, IT REALLY WILL HELP.
