Thought you all would be interested to know… 1) the AMIGA 1000 is NOT going mass market. 2) the price will be going up by about $100 3) sidecar has passed through FCC and will be shipping withing about 45 days. 4) Any price breaks on the amiga advertised this week will not last, they are a result of dealers jumping the gun, ASSuming that the amiga WOULD be going mass market, and trying to liquidate inventory before the word got out. Since the amiga is staying with current dealers, they got FAKED OUT by commodore. This week is your chance to get an amiga cheap. In NY the ads were for about $1050-$1100 for the CPU and monitor, at computer factory and IDS. Next week they will be going up. 5) Amiga 2500 is scheduled for late 86 or early 87 release. 6) Marble madness will be out within 2 weeks. All this gleaned from the amiga show (which was packed!!!) in fairfield NJ, saturday 7/12/86. From what I could tell the amiga is really coming into its own. Look for the attractive amiga brochures that commodore is spreading around. Believe it or not, the Commodore seems to be straightening itself out.
