#Amiga Manuals

I haven't been paying attention to some of the messages posted re: second sources for Amiga manuals. I've been asked by people who own Amigas and want to know more about the machine where they could get manuals. I seem to remember Addiso or some other publisher was supposed to be coming out with their own copies? Do you know the cost and availability? Are the manuals _exact_ copies of the Amiga manuals or overviews like the Abucus series for the Atari ST.? Are the Amiga manuals you posted info on the other day the best bet?

The second source manuals are now available — I saw all of them at my local dealer today. Since I have the CBM version I didn't pay much attention to them except a cursory 10 second look thru one of them. The _appeared_ to be the same as the developer's manuals but I wouldn't swear to it. They were priced between $24.95 and $34.95.

The AmigaDOS Manual from Bantam Books has been available for several months, and is the exact same as the 3 developer's manual that were called: The Amiga DOS User's Manual The AmigaDOS Technical Reference Manual The AmigaDOS Developer's Manual I see Steve answered you about the other manuals. BTW, the Bantam book is actually better than the original Developer's manuals as it has all the addenda information included in the proper places.
