There is a tread of discussion about the Oki 292/3 between Stan Kalisher and
myself. The Oki 292 will run as an Epson Jx-80 if you get the IBM Compatible
interface. There is still some problem with the firmware as this is not a
perfect emulation of the JX-80 as you get spurious characters in the text
printout. The NLQ mode is better than the 1091 as there is an 18 wire print
head as opposed to the 9 wire print head that the 1091. Supposedly Oki is
comming out with another interface for the Amiga which will make it more
JX-80 compatible.
