I'm not quite sure you caught the spirit of my suggestion. If the pattern I mentioned could be blended with ol' OPART.100, you could really get in to something. However, if sarcasm was your intention, you've succeeded admirably. Perhaps you and I have machines (or at least LCDs) of differing vintage such that you don't see the effect I'm intending.

Not at all…. I see the wave motion. It's caused by printing to the last character on the line, which is then dowsed, so the next character can be printed in the same spot. Granted, a full screen effect would be interesting, but I fear the LCD pixels, over that large an area would not respond fast enough. Have you tried more than one character space? And why at position 319? Doesn't it work anywhere else? Try a whole line, or try a 2 x 2 block in the middle of the screen.
