I am interested in getting some feedback from users of the LUCID spreadsheet
ROM. I have tried the Multiplan ROM and have been disappointed with it because
of the inability to delete rows and/or columns and have the recalculate all the
formulas. I would be interested in knowing if any LUCID users have had
difficulty interfacing with the Radio Shack Disk/Video Interface, and in
general, how easy LUCID is to use, how much it is like VISICALC, and if it has
the INSERT/DELETE function with automatic formula recalculation.

Clay,
Lucid has its own set of commands, but, with a little practice, is very
easy to use, and the manual is easy to follow. It is very versatile and uses
up little space on involved sheets.
You can delete a column, a row, or an individual cell (or group of cells)
The only time it recalculates automatically is after pasting in a cell or
group of cells.
I have used Lucid almost every workday for many months, and am very
satisfied with it. And since the company that makes it has a 30-day refund
policy, it is certainly worth checking out!

Thanks for the information, Don. If you delete a column or row with LUCID,
do you have to re-figure the relative formulas in relation to the spaces you
moved, or does the program do it automatically.
Yes, I think the 30 day refund policy is a definite incentive to try this
ROM. I'm really disappointed in the Multiplan ROM.

Revising my previous answer to you on this (I did a little playing with
Lucid after answering): Confirming what I told you before, inserting and
deleting columns and rows causes automatic adjustment of references.
Correcting what I told you before, even ABSOLUTE references are adjusted
when a row or column is inserted or deleted. So you don't end up refering to a
blank row or column.
