Steve,
I figured out a way to get acceptable movement, but I did come across
something that was a little weird. I went back and re-created the separate cube
figures by using a ghost as the parent for each one. So in the figure
substitution used in creating the Big Cube, if you were to scroll from one
figure to the next, it would read ghost, ghost, figure.
Then I created a separate action for each of the smaller cubes, using the
ghost for X, Y, Z translation, and the cube segment for Roll, Longitude, and
Latitude. The last part I thought would work a little better if I used a
channel in DIRECTION for each little cube adjusting the Roll, Tilt, and Swivel,
instead of Roll, Longitude, and Latitude in ACTION.
This is the weird part. Besides Rolling, Tilting, and Swiveling, it
squashed and stretched each cube in all three dimensions so that they were
completely distorted at the end of the choreography. Roll, Tilt, and Swivel
were the only channel items used for each cube. Is this something that anyone
else has had a problem with?
