I have been making AVIs for many months using Fauve Matisse with Kai's Power Tools / PhotoMorph /Razor as my tools to make VfW sequences. I thought Simply 3D would fit in just fine into this toolbox. I have worked my way through all the tutorials and think S3D is a fun environment to work in despite the strange Windows requirements. BUT, now I have run into a brick wall that makes me doubt if S3D is really for me. I have a slew of 240×240 AVIs made ontop of which I wanted to impose flying fonts messages. I have tried to make blue-screen animations in S3D which has been a delight except when I wanted aspect 1×1 (doesn't matter what X and Y). I get a shadow on the left third of the screen which I don't understand. The views give me a render to TGA file of individual frames with NO problem so I don't see what the problem with a sequence should be. BUT when I make an AVI I get this wrecking shadow. I have tried various codecs including "Intel Indeo Video Raw". If I have aspect 4×3 AVI I have no problem, but the minute I switch to square I get this horrible bug which ruins the AVIs. Instead of a blue bgd I have tried even none but the shadow is still there. This is most distressing since I was just about to upgrade to the full package (boy that was a close disaster). I WANT to work 240×240 just to be different (really because it permits smooth rotations) but don't see how I can. Can you fix aspect 1×1 AVIs for me? …. JPM
