I made a morph in AVI format, and opened Media Player to play it (I tried it both insided ER and outside ER). I keep getting an error message only on ER-produced AVI files, as follows: Application Error MMTASK caused a General Protection Fault in module MSVIDEO.DLL at 0008:16C8 I don't get this error with other AVI files, including the included morph PRES.AVI. I don't get this message on FLC-saved files, either. Can you tell me what the problem might be? Mike Smith

AVI files only play at some sizes. Is this one 160×120 or 320×240? Bri

What resolution did you out put the.avi as? If you dod something other than 320×240 or 160×120, chances are it will be unplayable – this is a cross between the compression codecs and media player problem that causes odd sized .avis to be unplayable. Chris Edgin ERI tech.

>> If you did something other than 320×240 or 160×120, chances are it will be unplayable<< That was the problem. Funny how after making AVI images and reading computer and graphics magazines for years I have never heard of this shortcoming. Thanks, Mike Smith

>That was the problem. Funny how after making AVI images and reading computer >and graphics magazines for years I have never heard of this shortcoming. Such is life with windows. MS never tells about the problems, and of course anyone will write a glowing review just to get published, based on that marketing hype from MS. Bri
