I'm scavenging an old AST video board for the PC. It's got eight chips
from Micron Tech labeled "4067-15". So they are what configuration? I
suspect 256K x 1, at 150 nsec. It was an AST 3G-Plus board, I'm not sure if
that meant EGA, it does have (uhm, did have 🙂 a switch to go between
color and mono, and a DB-9, plus two RCA phono-style jacks.
The AST 3G-Plus video board is an EGA card. All of the EGA cards that I
have seen use 64Kx4 chips (except for the original IBM EGA, which uses
16Kx4). It seems likely that the AST 3G-Plus also uses the 64Kx4 chips.
Thanks! The board was junked, and someone had already pulled the Chips &
Technologies big chips as souveniers. I suspected 64Kx4. Too bad I've
already got more of those than I know what to do with… I've got an
ancient A1000 expansion that uses about a zillion of them.
