You are jealous of ME ?
I would love to be able to go and do the field study like you are planning on
doing.
As for the scuba diving, it costs $275 for a full course ( which includes
everything you will need until the end of the course, textbook, dive tables ,
etc.) Our class is very thorough, but we still manage to have a good time.
During the course, all the gear you will need is provided. After that, gear
rental runs about $45 to $50 for the first day pretty much anywhere you go. We
charge 1/2 price for each additional day of rental. I have been speaking with
one of the scuba instructors over at Chapel Hill, and I will be sitting in on
the the classes if everything works out OK ( the PE department says that it is
OK). I won't do any teaching there, but I will hopefully be a certified
instuctor by then.
If you would like to give me your address, I can send you some information on
classes, prices, etc..
Take care, Dawn
Dawn,
My address is Matthew Gentry, 1235 Granville Towers West, University Square,
Chapel Hill NC 27514. I would love to recieve some information concerning
Scuba lessons. How long does it take to become certified and how far is it
from UNC?
Where are you going to school now? My suite mate lives in North Raleigh on
some golf course, I forget where.
I am going snow skiing for the first time this weekend and I am very excited.
Talk to you soon, Matt.
Hey!!
You live in Granville? That is where I will be living in the spring when I
start school. What do you think about it ?
I go to Sanderson. My best friend ( and future roomate ) goes to Millbrook. She
lives here in North Raleigh on a golf course in North Ridge. I live about 4-5
miles from her.
Have fun skiing. I am from Iowa ( I moved here 9 years ago) , but all of my
relatives live in the Midwest, so I cross- country ski wen I go up there. I
have never been downhill skiing in North Carolina though. I was born in
Colorado, so when we visit friends, I do a little skiing there as well. I hope
you have a great time, have fun, and stay warm!!! ( there is almost enough snow
in my backyard…)
I'll send you the information as soon as I get to work ( they let us out of
school early!!). I am probably going to Orlando next weekend, but I'll keep in
touch until then.
Take care and drive safe!!
Regards, Dawn 🙂
Dawn,
Granville is the best place to live for new students, no doubt. You will meet
alot of people and it is real close to everything as opposed to the dorms on
South campus.
My friend also lives on North Ridge and believe he went to school at Millbrook
as well. His name is Alex Taylor; she might know him.
I went all the way to Knoxville this weekend and did not even go skiing. It
was still alot of fun but I wish I would have skied.
I am also not from here. I transfered here from a small college in Jackson, MS.
Why did you move from Iowa?
Well better go. I look forward to recieving the info. on scuba. Take care,
Matt
Sorry you didn't get to go skiing! I will ask my friend if she knows Alex.
We moved here because my dad got transferred.
I'll send you that info today ( it'll be on the way tomorrow!)
Take care, and I'll talk to you later!
Dawn
Sorry Matt. I didn't even answer your first question… It takes three weeks of
class ( three nights a week). We also have a weekend class that is three
Saturdays in a row ( ALL day Saturday) . The shop is about 30 minutes away.
Talk to you later.
Dawn
