I got your package and will return the files as soon as I get them on amiga floppies. I sure wish there was an easier way than downloading them one by one with xmodem to my amiga, but I don't know any other way. There are quite a few files you know, though some may not be useful, I thought I would transfer as much as I could in the belief that it might just possibly come in handy. There are a lot of makefiles of course, but they are unix make files, incompatible with the PD make. I don't know about aztec's make though, do you have that? The few lines of assembler code that there were I have translated into the motorola mnemonics that the amiga wants, since the only 68000 version of Icon is for the SUN and it uses the other type of mnemonics. But there are only a very few of them, two files worth, about 40 lines total I think. I'm getting a new programmer monday at work and I'll have to start training him on our equipment, OS, and compilers (his resume said he knew RPG II (ugh gag cough choke!!!)), maybe I'll teach him C. But I will be sure to work on getting the files on amiga, probably take two days. I've been playing with the mandel program (It's so slow! I can't believe it, but I have made two nice pictures and put them on my bbs.) It also has crashed on me, not reproducible every time but a couple of times. I am running from WB and during the drawing of the picture, I click STOP then Click SAVE PICTURE and then it goes to the text window and asks for file name. I type it and while the disk light is on and it is writing, I click the right button to get a workbench menu. I have resized the mandel text window so I can see workbench's title bar. A couple of times when I clicked right button I get the system requestor, SOFTWARE ERROR. Amy doesn't crash as such, I can still go to workbench open CLI's and do commands but the mandel_brot is dead, the disk light goes off and I have to reboot. Don't know if it is that program, but I would suspect amigados. I would be so frightened of putting that OS in ROM, maybe five years
