Chis, Would you PLEASE show me an example of SET_RENDER_MODE with all it's arguments used? I spent all day Sat trying to get it to work (with ADPRo 2.5) and never got it to go. I know the docs say it the same ast the GET_SCREEN_MODE, but there is a problem. The GET returns a number for the screen_id. I can't find screen_id's explained well enough in the docs that I know what to put there and have a picture render properly or the SET_RENDER_MODE statement run without generating an ARexx error. I'm trying to have a script line that sets up for Lo Res laced HAM render. I finally gave up and had to use the SCREEN_TYPE and RENDER_TYPE pair. Also, in the section on the PostScript saver, it says, "If you are processing color separation data (ADPro will determine this in the data analysis phase mentioned earlier), you can select a special setting which will include color separtaion specific instructions in the PostScript file." Now, the only thing it says about the analysis phase is that there has to be raw image data in the buffer for the PS saver modules analysis to be done. Here is my problem: I'm trying to print a brochure that included full color pictures that come from Lightwave and photo clip art stored on CDRom in Pict format. Those files when output as encapsulated ascii PS, then included in the doc via PageStream 2.22 or 3.0x will not separate at the service bureau. They print as full color on each plate in the separation. They also will not allow output to a grayscale printer (bombs the printer with a postscript error everytime it comes up to a picture to print). This can only be worked around by converting the picture to grayscale first, then to postscript. However, the color gradient boxes in the doc cause no problem to the grayscale output. So, is there something I should know and obvoiously don't regarding the PS saver and proper prep of files for separation output after being converted to eps by ADPRo? wmc – via Autopilot!
