O.K., Now that I'm on here, here's my first problem with the renderer.
Whoever decided that it was going to be policy to only allow one renderer
license to run per server during the beta period seems to have missed a vital
aspect of this. The vast majority of shops that will run this renderer will
have multiple machines. Considering that a heck of alot of SGI based render
nodes are diskless or the fact that most SGI shops that run networks centralize
the server and utilize symbolic links back to a single server and its disk, it
appears to me that allowing beta sites to set up their networks this way would
be a vital aspect of testing this network renderer. Instead Adesk says that we
have to put a seperate copy on each machine during the Beta period and then
once the software is released we will have the ability to centralize the code
and run multiple licenses in multiples of 10. How in the world will the actual
functionality of a centralized licensed server serving multiple render nodes be
tested if we're restricted during the beta period from utilizing the code in
this manner?

Paul,
You raise some valid points, and I will bring them up to the people who made
the decision to restrict the BETA licences to single use only.
