I just purchased a Matrox Illuminator Pro board and a Sony Beta machine. What
else do I need
to convert my animations to tape.
Can anyone help with advice as to what else I need.

Need or want? Two different animals! <g>
You need a way to control the deck from within 3D Studio. DiaQuest, SoftVTR
and Animation Commander should all do this for you. You can use the Matrox for
master sync, so you don't need an external sync generator.
Which Sony Beta deck do you have? UVW-1800, PVW-2800, etc?
