…WFW can be used for 3D Studio network rendering.
—–
I tried following your advice for network rendering with WFW and 3DS4, but
things didn't quite work out. I run "net use" then try to run 3DS, but pharlap
gives me a processor exception error and crashes the system. If I don't run the
WFW "net use" command, 3DS runs fine. WFW works fine by itself and connected to
the another WFW machine. This a p90 w/PCI that has previously worked fine with
Netware + 3DS. There's something that I'm missing here, any hints from someone
who has 3DS net-rendering through WFW?
Thanks,
Andrew.

It doesn't sound like you are missing any steps, you are just getting a memory
conflict. Are you running a memory manager? You probably need to exclude the
memory area where the network drivers are loaded.

Thanks Brian, I changed my emm386 settings and that corrected the memory bug.
