#Tucson 95 report

Just a note to let everyone know that I have uploaded a report on the Tucsons
shows in the geology library file: Tucson95.txt, it is 23 k, not stuffed,
compacted, mashed, or otherwise mistreated.
It is a shortened version of what is in the February issue of Mineral News
(which won't even be mailed until the 21st, so you get to see it here first).

Thanks for the upload!
In reading it, I got my usual feeling when going by mineral exhibits in person
of wanting to break the glass and wave my UV lamps over the specimens… This
goes double with so many topazes on display, since I am curious as to how
common that fluorescence of the Idaho topazes is.
Have you any notion whether the new owner of the Red Cloud mine in AZ will open
the mine to collectors? Since my banishment to OK, I have constantly been
berating myself for attempting to get there in my passenger car (I had to turn
back) rather than renting a 4WD, while fee collecting was permitted. As far as
I know, that is the only source of fluorescent wulfenite.
How much did the cheapest diamond in matrix cost? Will I break down and cry
when I hear the answer?
Folks, because CIS truncates filenames to 6 characters dot 3 characters,
Lanny's Tucson show report is TUCSON.TXT in the library, not to be confused
with TUCSON.ARC (my how-to-find-things notes and map on past Tucson shows).
