I have a sony fx 510 8mm camcorder. I use svhs now for all productions, but I
would like to use the sony for family stuff, etc,.because of its small size and
decent picture quality BUT all the newly recorded stuff is in black and white!
Before I spend an arm and a leg to have it fixed …. does anyone know what
may have caused this and whether it would be an expensive repair?

Seriously, how stable is the picture otherwise? I mean, is it *good* solid
black&white (like it was meant to shoot that way) or is it a weak signal (like
something's blown)?
Either way, I'd guess you're looking at big bucks to repair it.
