As to your question about INDEO compression, I was impressed with what
I saw at a multimedia show recently. I was watching full screen
playback at 640×480 of some video tape taken at the show with the
Intel Video Smart Recorder, running on a Pentium 90. Pretty good
image, and very little dropout – maybe 2 frames in a 5 second
stretch. I am new at this, so am not sure what to compare this
with. The latest Indeo compression may be worth looking into.
