Hello to all on the DTV Forum. I have heard about this Forum from several on the Internet newsgroups, rec.video.production, rec.video.desktop and rec.video. I have looked it over here and find that it is quite extensive…this should be a valuable area to wander. My name, as you see in the header, is Les Booth. I am President and Owner of the NETWORK 500: Outdoor Communications Group; OOAK, INOvision, and project coordinator/participant in MORIVEX '96: The Missouri River Expedition. NETWORK 500 is the parent umbrella for a number of commercial ventures, analog and digital… real world and cyber. We have been in existence since 1984… working in a multifaceted framework encompassing the Graphic Arts, Merchandising, Advertising & Marketing, Product Design & Development and Educational Development & Presentation. Briefs on the various groups: "Outdoor Communications Group": This is a group of 3 operatives dedicated to new and innovative information transfer of products, services and education in the Outdoor Sports arena. "Leaders & Tippets"… The Electronic Journal of Fly-Fishing, is the first of its kind. A totally cyber journal, produced in cyber-language and transmitted in cyber-space. We are the first such publication to offer multiple levels of advertising and promotion to our advertisers and supporters of the the publication. Our readers will enjoy text, in creative styles, still photos, videos and sound created on the latest technological advances for CyberPublication. Because we are 'linked' to multiple cyber-entities our readers can hyper-skip to unlimited areas for futher information or order from a vast array of providers. We term ourselves as …"not Multi-media, but INSTANT-MEDIA." "PINE CREEK: Outpost & Outfitters". On-line catalog and ordering service for a wide variety of outdoor sports equipment. Mountain biking, hiking, camping. climbing, caving, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, windsurfing, sailing and any other 'off-the-wall' outdoor activity that comes along. We are 'linked' to other outdoor providers that we have ties to in the areas of : hunting, fly-fishing, diving, shooting sports, etc. PCO&O will use the most sophisticated security available to Internet commercial entrepreneurs for on-line purchasing; insuring our customers of complete safety for credit card purchasing. "Arthur O'fieldstream: Outdoors Journal"`. This is a video and CD based title production company. It is yet to be launched, officially, but has been in the plannery for 2 years. AOOJ will bring to the outdoor video and television productions a new sense of professionalism and education that has been missed by most efforts now on the market. Slated to make its debut in early 1996 we are looking for good qualified assistants in all areas of the business. If interested or have ideas along these topic lines, get in touch. "OOAK: One Of A Kind Productions": this is a design, marketing and production group devoted to producing limited and unique graphic communications. We focus on the photographic, computer graphic, serigraphic and videographic disciplines. We are always looking for unique marketable images and ideas. If you would like us to take a look at what you have give us a call. "INOvision" is the soon-to-be-released DTV studio for NETWORK 500. We will be operating with the FAST VideoMachine on DX4 100 PCs. We shoot in SVHS and Hi8 on Canon and Panasonic equipment. Our production will be out to SVHS and Sony BETA. Our markets are in the Health Care field, Chiropractic and Sports Medicine. We have a scheduled release of 10 titles for Public TV channels on Enviro-Education with a release date of January 1997. Our projects will require considerable video and animation… as well as computer generated artwork. Technical writers and scripters will also be needed. We are always on the outlook for qualified professionals and professional quality work. If you would like to talk to us or show us material contact us. The latest and possibly our grandest project to date is the MORIVEX '96 expedition. I'll not take anymore space, as I have probably taken too much already… but to quickly cap what MORIVEX '96 is: A kayak expedition the length of the Missouri River, 2280+ miles. Beginnig May 1, 1996 and ending September 1, 1996. Starting at the headwaters of the Missouri River, southwest of Bozeman, MT and ending in St. Louis, MO. The purpose is twofold: 1) Raise awareness to the growing need for preservation and conservation oriented utilization of North Americas waterways. Our waterways are in danger… we must act now or it will be too late. 2) Raise $45 million dollars to distribute among four outstanding Land, Water and Useage organizations: Nature Conservancy, Wild Rivers Association, American & Canadian Canoe Associations and the Wilderness Society. If you would like more information contact us at the connections listed at the end of this posting. Thanks.
