#release forms
4 messages in this thread
Saw a show on tv the other night about wedding videos – mostly blooper types.
Some of the shots had many many people in them that I would consider
recognizable. Did everyone of those have to sign a separate release form to
enable the shots to be used on tv. Whose responsibility was it to get the
releases – the shooting company or the network.
I have been considering adding some type of release clause on my contracts that
the customer signs when I do weddings or parties. Anyone have any opinions on
this. I would also like to see what other companies are doing for release
forms. Is there a standars form or does each company make up their own?
Any chance of posting copies here or would there be copies available in any of
the librarys.

Have you seen the excellent newsletter Wedding Videography Today? They
recently did an article on contracts, also there was a cover story about the
rights to OJ's wedding video. If you need their address, e-mail me.
Stu, I haven't seen the article. I have a few of the newsletters, but don't
subscribe. I'll see if I can find the issue.
