#FORGOTTEN DISKS

You mean people actually steal your mail? Whatever in the world for? I've
been using xmodem between the amiga and wicat, long ago before there were
any terminal programs (last september) I did use just a straight dump
between the two, but I don't see the advantage for this. I'm waiting for
unix kermit to arrive, I've got the kermit for the amiga, as soon as I get
the unix kermit source I can hopefully get it up and running on wicat and
then send whole subdirectories at once. That will be a big help. Gosh I
should have sent you emacs on amiga floppies if I knew it was going to be
this much trouble for you instead of 9 track tape. (I don't have it on
amiga floppies either but maybe I could once I get my kermit running.) Now
if only amiga had uucp….
Well, the only advantage I find is that I can write a script file for the
CV, and one for the amiga, the one on the CV runs a program sendAMI
filename and the one on the amiga is GetCV Filename. So I can just type
the scripts in, hook the two together and, and leave them communing with
each other. If you have a xmodem program that supports scripts, then that
would do the same thing, of course. Of course, it turns out the CV likes
to hang when you access the stupid serial port, so I still have to babysit
a little bit. Well, yea – they steal anything here. Mail, whatever. I
think some people are just starved for junk mail, probably. Keep plugging
away…. sdb
