Hello, I am Winchell Chung [76146,360] and noticed you had posted a Stellar Conquest game. I was wondering if I could have the source code, with an eye to transfering it to other computers (Mac, Atari, etc). Sadly, I do not currently have a modem program for my amiga (this is being dictated on a) (macintosh) so I cannot enjoy your game. But I do have a fondness for Conquestm I got my first one in 1973. For a while, I was working at Avalon Hill, writing Atari 800 games for their computer division. (My two games were not so hot, Paris in Danger is trash, Gulf Strike is boring). Since Avalon Hill got the rights to Stellar Conquest, I wanted to computerize it, but was turned down. By the way, if you are interested, I have some "house rules" that the gang at Avalon worked up to expand upon Stellar Conquest. It includes terraforming, non-starships (can be built by a system under seige), and other goodies. Just give the word and I will send it to you. Hope I hear from you soon. Winchell Chung

The conquest downloaded here is very similar to Stellar Conquest but not exactly the same. I'm the person who ported it to the amiga but its origins are lost in the mists of the UNIX networks. It has been ported to CP/M and IBM PC machine as well as the Amiga. The source code is available on Fish Disk #24. I've not seen the source on a bulletin board system since it is rather long, but it is available.
