Eli: I work in <the now infamous> Palm Springs, California ABC station. I brought home a VO-4800 (3/4" Field Recorder) and sent my video out to its video in. I used the tape at work (Background for some Graphics) It worked just fine. I would have thought you could take video out straight from Amiga into ADO/DVE and it would work???? I've taken 3/4 tape player and put it through DPE-5000 and as far as I could tell, it was all there. I work in production at the station. Mostly Audio/Character Gen. as well as editing. I also direct the news on weekends….and you? Brad * Reply: 13165

BRAD, I work at National Video Center, a large postproduction house in NYC. As the matter of factwhen Reeves teletape went under we bought all their stuff. I am an online videotape editor using CMX and Datatron edit controllers. I know the Amiga H screens will work fine. They are interlaced so no problem. It is th lo-res images I am trying to record. They are not interlaced video so when a TBC sees them, it tries to fit the signal into its interlaced mode of thinking but can't. Have you recorded any stuff to 1" from your 3/4" ?? The signal will go down on tape (1/2" or 3/4") with no problem but since 1" ,by nature, must be processed thru a TBC and procamp this presents the problem. What kinds of graphics do you do ??Paintbox ?? We have one where I work but I don't use it much. Have you ever seen/heard of the Abekas a62 digital recorder ? We have one at National and though I use it alot, I havn't tried the Amiga with it. It will record fields or frames and it might just work. Also you still havn't told mewhat SETLACE.C is or where I can find it….. Talk to you……. …eli. * RR 13076
