I just got word that my Amiga version computer baseball is in so I'm looking
forward to picking it up tommorrow. I hope that SSI puts Cosmic Balance on the
Amiga, maybe It'll have a modem mode, and you can face my dreadnought! Funny
it's slow on the 64, it was real fast on the Apple II, a machine reknowned for
it slowness. I've got GRIDIRON for the Amiga. Got it last Friday, on a scale of
1 to 10 I would give it about a 7. Good gameplay, avg graphics, good but
eventually annoying sound, not bad for a new computer. It's strategy plus you
personally control one play on your team at a time, ala some arcade football
games. But it IS a strategy game too. I've got a flex defense that held the
intermediate level team to no points and only 140 yards! It is fun and a good
first product.
Keep me posted on good games. Maybe we can get this thread really hoppin!

I'm keepin' my fingers crossed that XOR Corporation will
port NFL Challenge to the Amiga. I feel that NFL Challenge
is to computer football games as APBA is to computer baseball
g It's another good reason for computer sports gamers
to own the sidecar once it comes out.

company is Bethesda Software and the progran is called Gridiron. The sound is
great, graphics are better than Xor, and the gameplay is fantastic! Not only
is there lots of plays, both OFF and DEF but you can create your own within the
rules of football. There's five levels of play, and you can draft teams.
Probably one of the best programs I've ever seen for any sport. No I don't own
stock in the company, but it is a great game. As for APBA, there are several
baseball games coming out for the Amy soon, that will be beyond belief. Sounds
great, huh?

a good Christmas this year!
Are the graphics in GRIDIRON "X's" and "O's" like in XOR or are they "real"
football players? What season/teams are included on the disk? Is the 30
second clock supported? How about injuries and "rare" plays? Can you draft
your own teams or rate your own players?
Didn't mean for this to turn into 20 questions… just trying to find out more
about the game.
