Hi Timm, I just got the latest version of SID, and I have a little problem. Everytime I invoke something like ARC, ED, SuperView, etc. it tells me, cannot create new CLI process. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? SID was working fine before… *** SLY *** Edmonton, Alberta

Are you mounting NEWCON: in your startup-sequence? There is a known problem with the current version of SID1.06 that requires newcon: to be mounted for certain functions to operate properly. Fred

That must be the problem then, I'm using con: (conman). Thanks, I'll try it out with newcon:. *** SLY *** Edmonton, Alberta

I'm also using conman, but I've got it mounted as newcon:. I cannot remember where the explanation was to do this – either in the conman docs or it might be in the ARP docs (for the shell), but I can't remember! Fred

You can use ConMan as an improved stand-in for NEWCON: if you wish … just change the line in your DEVS:Mountlist file from NEWCON: Handler=L:Newcon-Handler to read NEWCON: Handler=L:conhandler -Bill Hawes
