Roy, I have a 1080 monitor, with a RAMBOard running 6 megs, do not have the
Insider as of YET. The cable I am using came with the computer when I bought
it, maybe 3 ft. long. I wonder if there is a problem with GenLock being used
with extra memory, I will disconnect the RAMBOard and try it that way tomorrow
and let you know the results. Pete
I have this pessimistic feeling that GenLock might need more power from my
Amiga than it can get, while its power supply is moving the heads in the disk
drive and running the insider memory chips. I hope this isn't the problem, and
that it is a bad cable, but it is clearly not the problem causing these similar
problems in your case. I thought RamBo supplies its own power. Is this true?
I will be waiting to hear if disconnecting your extra memory solves your
problem. I will try a new cable, but won't disassemble my Amiga, I'd rather
have the extra 1 meg!

We have found that Genlock it self seems to want to sync on external noise,
having an INSIDER will generate more noise as would any other device that emits
RF, Genlock without an input signal is try to sync on air, or whatever came
whizzing by at that nanosecond. The solution is to input a signal, such as VCR
or Camera, and turn it ON, this will allow Genlock to lock on that signal, turn
the switch on the Genlock to computer only and away you go. I've heard romour
that CBM will have a resistor change mod available that can be done to Glock to
correct this problem. -Ralph
