DeluxeMusic upgrade
2 messages in this thread
Recently I paid $7.50 and gave up my (copy-protected) original DMCS disk to
get an "upgrade" from Electronic Arts. It sure is a neat program. It asks
for a disk called "ORIGINAL DISK THEN CANCEL:", reports that it is low on
memory (I have 1.5 meg), and then, without exception, crashes when I touch
the right mouse button.
I can fix the first requester with:
Assign "ORIGINAL DISK THEN CANCEL:" DMCS:
in the Startup-Sequence on the working copy. But the rest is beyond me. At
least with the original version, I culd write some music between crashes.
Michael, It sounds as if you have a bad signature track on your DMCS disk.
What I suggest you to is contact our Warranty Department about replacement of
your replacement. But before you do that, you might want to try to run DMCS
on another Amiga to make certain that you are having a software problem and
not a hardware problem (a disk drive might be going out of alignment). If
you have no luck on another Amiga, call our warranty department at
415-572-2787 and ask about replacing a defective disk.
