Fall USUS Meeting

USUS, the UCSD Pascal Users' Society, will be holding their Fall meeting this
coming weekend at the Showboat Inn in Greenwich, Connecticut. The meeting will
start on the morning of Saturday, November 1, and run through 5:00 PM Monday.
The theme of the meeting is Modula-2. Among the speakers on the program are Dr.
Charles Zahn of Pace University, speaking on "Modula-2: A Historical
Perspective", Carl Helmers (former Byte publisher) on "Machine Independent UCSD
Experiences" and Dr. Gerald Weiss on "Implementing Modula-2 on the Version IV
p-machine." Representatives of Apple Computer and of Stride Micro will be
demonstrating new machines. Introductory and intermediate tutorial sessions
will be held on UCSD Pascal and Modula-2 and the various USUS SIGs will be
meeting. The USUS Software Library will be available for copying by USUS
members at a nominal fee on IBM PC, Apple //, Macintosh, Atari ST, Amiga and
Stride format diskettes.
Registration for all 3 days of the meeting is $25 in advance, $35 at the door,
$20 for students. 1 day registration is $18, $10 for students. To make an

The Showboat Inn is right off the Long Island Sound, at 500 Steamboat Road, one
block from exit 3 on the Connecticut Turnpike (I95) and one block from the Penn
