The Packard Bell modem has a bit of a reputation for running hot and not
liking it. Though some have had good luck with it, others have given up on
them. I highly recommend the Supra modem, based entirely on the reports of
those that own them, both in quality and price.

It looks like you are looking for a 2400 baud modem….I don't have
any experience with any of those you mentioned but a friend has an Avatex
2400 modem and says it works just fine for him.
I might also add that I use a Supra 2400 buad modem and it works just
perfectly for me…and is cheaper than most (list price is $179.95 and it can
be had at a discount at some dealer's).
