Hello! I've been getting a bit tired of this discussion about the openning of the libraries, so let me make a suggestion: The version of the currently open library can be checked by looking in the libVersion field of the Library structure. So basically… VAR ChkLib: LibraryPtr; BEGIN ChkLib := IntuitionBase; IF (ChkLib^.libVersion > 31) THEN ELSE END; No need for the opening and closing of the libraries, etc… >> Leon << Avant-Garde Software (214)-964-0260
