Kathleen …. Good to see you! One thing that I like about the tone you all are setting is the integration of writing/design/tech/etc….. it is precisely that mix that will make this a useful addition IMHO….in many areas I'm looking forward to seeing what some highly skilled folks start here….I know I've learned the most from quietly lurking some other forums ….and would also like to see some ongoing discussions of language (a la Safire).My other hope is that we will find ways to share critiques and advice on design and writing as readily and as nicely as we share hints on the best service bureaus, etc…from my own experience, I know there have been many times when I would have loved a spot to upload a piece and get a bit of friendly feedback..during this last campaign, when I did the candidate's main brochure, I was very aware of not having worked enough in color in the past (most of my work is for low budget politicians) and would have loved a spot to ask "hey folks..this looks right to me, actually I like it a lot, but would love some reactions to whether I've hit the right balance of green and black?" … this would require some very noncompetitive approaches but I think it might work ….
