Ben, Thanks for the info. I wasn't really expecting ed to respond, thats why I made it a public message. A coupla more questions. Can more than one computer acces the same volume, and if so, how do you lock the files against multiple simultaneous writes? I am A Field service engineer who writes software as a hobby. (Two PD programs released so far: midiPANL; lets you control a digital synth like analog using prop. gadgets, and FRAMER; a hardware/software package that I am selling to control single frame recorders using VideoScape ((and hopefully animate3D soon))). I do a lot of alpha testing for my employer( Rochester Instrument Systems: Industrial instrumentation and High-speed 64channel digitizing Oscillographs for monitoring.) I am pretty familiar with and have acces to a good assortment of SCSI and amiga junk ( I own 2-1000 and 1-2000's) I am telling you all this because I would like to be considered for Beta testing SCSINET. I work with a company (a sideline) that does video production/graphincs in an office environment and who would greatly benefit from SCSInet in their day-to-day operations. Please consider me as a beta test site for SCSInet. Dave Weinbach Busstop Software (716)288-7644 eves. (716)238-4935days (716)654-9458 24HRS data (Sysop, TheDataBusBBS)

You cannot currently access the same partition; under the network, you will be able to; not now. If you want to be a beta site, you must work it out with c ltd. –Ben–
