John, the PC Ltd machine should work, but the clone Herc card sounds like
its not fully compatible. There is no special driver for that machine. My
advice is to get a different graphics board.
To "officially" transfer a registration requires that the original owner
write a letter to Autodesk stating that they are transferring the license
to you. (Of course, its possible that the registration card was never sent
in… in that case simply fill it out and send it in yourself). You'll
want to do this for future upgrade purposes and to receive any pertinent
Autodesk correspondence. =SM=
Thank you, Steve and Jamie. I hold nothing against you for being cautious,
but I didn't expect to be frisked as I entered the Forum. 🙂 No luck on
the Hercules troubles. I know it's a clone of some kind, because it's the
one that came with the PC Ltd AT, as of last December. I think a call to
Dell is in order.
