Jamie, Sorry we won't meet in Chitown, I was looking forward to it.
Perhaps another place, another time.
I have two problems to report. The first is with the new LogiMouse
driver. It dosen't work using the LogiTech 3.2 resident driver. In
order to use my mouse, I have to use the LogiMouse driver that came
with my copy of Rev9 sn#10-105422. The AutoCAD with the new driver
that dosen't work is sn#10-147494.
The sceond problem is also with ns#10-147494. Sometimes, for no reason
I can detect, AutoCAD hangs on start-up. The hang goes like this:
ACAD PROTO RUN is issued. Run.scr looks like this:

(load"/lv/lisp/exe")
(load"/lv/lisp/m11")
go
Acad stops in the graphic screen, with only the blue areas painted.
Those being status, prompt and menu areas. The machine is a Compaq
386/16 with the Compaq EGA monitor.

Ray,
You should not be loading ANY driver from Logitech in order to use it with
AutoCAD's Logi Driver. The driver Logi supplies is a MSmouse emulation driver
and should not be loaded when using the AutoCAD supplied driver.
I know the newer driver (DUD supplied) had some adjustments made to it, but
it works on the machines I have tested it with. Now I personally feel the
MicroSoft Emulation (and yes, it will give you three buttons) is better than
the direct Logi Driver. If you are trying to squeak some extra system memory
space, using the built in Logi Driver should help.
As for the second problem, will the program start ok if the lisp files are
not loaded in the script?

I will try the mouse sans driver as you suggest, sounds great for
saving ram. I will probally have to leave the mouse driver in though
for use with Norton Editor since I toggle between that and Acad all
day long.

I will test the script thing the very next time the screen hangs.
As I remember, when it happens, it happens no matter how you approach
AutoCAD.

Well, if you have to have the MSmouse driver in for Norton's then you may as
well use the one for the MSmouse in AutoCAD. Like I said, I prefer it with
the C-7 I use.
