You guys should check out the Blackstone Inn on Michigan Ave. This place is
great, I stayed there for Expo '86 and was very pleased. Its down by the
action and costed only $66/night, nice rooms, etc. They've got one of the
best jazz clubs in Chicago downstairs (I listened to the great sax player
Eddie Harris one night), a theater/playhouse, and a great burger/diner with
exceptional malts. The Blackstone is pretty close to the downtown Hilton and
the Palmer House, not quite as fancy, but not too far off. If you like
Chicago jazz this place is like heaven.
