I'm working on an ADI display driver for an EGA add-on board. So far it's doing most of what I want. Fast vector mode works well, but the graphics text writes (borrowed from the sample DSEGA) are pathetically slow. Is this an unavoidable consequence of ADI overhead, or might I expect better results from improved code modules? From a customer acceptance viewpoint, I'd rather skip the ADI (although it's not possible right now) and put up with the necessity of upgrading the driver for each release. Will this ever be a developer's option?
