Oops, forget what I said about not being able to start a tool's process up with a different current directory from Workbench. Apparently I blew it when I first attempted it, and I wasn't trying very hard as I was guessing anyway. So to start from scratch again: Point out to your readers that they can feed a project to a tool by extended selection. This is handy when a project can be used by more than one tool, the additional tools can be directly brought up with the project with this method rather than loading the file explicitly from within the application or editing DEFAUL TOOL. Also point out that they can start up a tool in a different drawer than it resides in with extended selection by selecting a disk or a drawer. This is handy for starting a new project on a volume with a complex directory structure (it saves typing and reduces typos when the project is saved). BTW, I spent an hour sifting around the basement and finally came up with my user manuals (mid '86 vintage). Workbench feeding the project to a tool in this manner is given, feeding the directory to the tool's process is not. If more than one icon is selected for the tool, only the first one is used. This _may_ be due more to the application programs than Workbench, but both WP and Memacs exhibited this behavior.
