Just came up with a little publishing-related trick: If you have fixed information, and variable information, that you frequently print, you might consider the following IF the fixed info is say something you did in a graphics package, while the variable info is just text: Print the graphics info to text. Creat a little batch file that runs your WP or whatever on the variable text info; then print from there. Then pause the bat file to give you time to put the paper back in. Then do a "copy /b filename.prn prn" to copy the fixed graphics info. I do this quite a bit – maintaining a log of some activities, but want them merged with quite a bit of fixed graphics. NOTE it may be that you aren't supposed to run paper thru a laser twice – my setup is a DeskJet where it does no harm. P.S. I guess I have to tell 'ya what I'm doing: I've created a complex graphic relating to junk mail from Byte magazine, telling them they are either fraudulent or incompetent when it comes to following their "message to our subscribers" in which they say that they won't give/sell your name if you don't want to – but after several subscription attempts – even changing my name – I can NOT get them to stop – so what I do is add another line with the name of the latest junk mail, run it back thru to pick up the graphic, then tri-fold it and mail it 😉
