#Access! 1.42 (gasp) bugs
2 messages in this thread
I have a few bugs to report in Access! V1.42.
One is that whenever I am using the multi-dialer, and connect when the Access!
screen is pushed to back (not iconified), I get a guru every time. (I am using
morerows, and qmouse 1.4, and obviously running other programs, although I have
plenty of memory (fast or chip left over) Last minute update: If a insert disk
requestor (for a script) has to be provided before the re-dialing window can go
away, it doesn't guru…..
This is only a mild bother, but hitting gadgets outside the window (like the
two rows of quick gadgets on the top/bottom of the screen) does interesting
things to the file requestor (and probably other requesters also).
The following isn't _really_ a bug, as it doesn't cause the system to crash, it
just annoys me greatly. There are many system parameters which are _not_ saved
in the define file. I only know of three which I have personally been annoyed
by, namely checksum/crc, line delay, and char delay. Due to personal lazyness,
I did not try to compile a complete list, but just those that have personally
bothered me so far. Probably every switchable feature should have its state
saved in the .def file.
Thanx, <Mowgli>
P.S. I have heard that this is in the works anyhow, but an ARexx interface
would also be quite nice to have, although it would probably be more work than
just fixing those above.
Mowgli,
Thanks for the report/suggestions… I'm puzzled about the multi-dialer
bug, but I'll look into it. Many more items are being added to the .def file
(like the font! 🙂 and loading a new .def file (and thus reconfiguring the
term) with each phone number will also be added.
The ARexx is mostly already in (actually, it was mostly in 3-4 months ago)
but I have very limited time to work on Access! currently. Hopefully that will
change soon.
