ahh, Dianne…. I get updates on the latest sci-fi, questions about the checking account _and_ requests to go potty…<g> I will admit to having been much pleasanter about it all until last fall's campaign when I had a HQ to run and so my very own little office..or as the telephone installers called it ..oh, "that store-room over there"….then too the interruptions came fast and furious but I timed my heaviest writing for the mornings the office cleaning crew were in …having them wax me into my cubicle guaranteed at least a half hour of peace and when all else failed, I'd run across the street for "a meeting" ..we had a great neighborhood pub that was happy to have anyone appear midafternoon and so would clear a table and bring fresh baked croissants for that night's dinner menu and…I admit it….a glass of decent wine….the best office I ever had!!! now if I could teach someone here to bake croissants and serve wine as needed, I might be a lot more civil 'bout those little visits…… grinning> Christina

Christina, You mean this Corner Pub *doesn't* have croissants?! <g> —— Susan

Susan….an important lack. We must definitely complain to the management over this one ….and the other night they ran out of their best desserts before I got any. Now, I must admit to respecting their beautifully designed menu and the obvious quality of the printing (no 300dpi here), not to mention the mouthwatering descriptions of the entrees by Ms.Sysop Breen, but what is brilliantly set Garamond compared to a good cup of coffee and a slice of New York Cheesecake with a few lucscious strawberries on the side? oh, Mr Hartmann, Mr. Hartmann!!! …Christina

Christine, I'm currently serving a *very* gourmet appetizer at the pub — peanut butter stuffed celery sticks (celery for the hips, peanut butter for the lips)! ——- Susan

Ah, Susan …. could you add celery with cream cheese? (but please no "buffalo chicken wings"..every political event I had to go to for the last 6 months served them …..always too hot and not very good and NO blue cheese!!!!!!) trying to decide on perfect drink to accompany celery and PB or cream cheese… ..Christina
