I had a similar problem with my ECE MIDI interface, it turns out that
certain ECE MIDI interfaces are defective. How can you tell? EASY, just
look at the cable coming out of the back of your ECE that goes to the
serial port of your AQmiga 2000, if the cable is actually 2 that merge into
a single connector, chances are you might have a defective piece of
hardware. Of course, this is no guarantee. But I thought I'd drop that
tip off if anyone had the same problem as I did.
